Inputs

These checks allow you to test the various components of the WAZER that send signals or information to the controller. They will be frequently used when troubleshooting error messages or water level issues.

To navigate to the Input Check menu, follow this path on the User Interface Screen.

“Setup & Maintenance” > “Input/Output Check” > “Input Check”

If the door is closed when you select this check. the UI will display a “Open Door” message. When you open the door you will be see “Close Door” on the UI screen. Once you close the door you will receive a “Door Switch Detected” message. If the door is open when you begin this input check, the check will begin with the UI displaying “Close Door” and closing it will make the UI display “Door Switch Detected”.

If the “Close Door” Message is shown when the door is closed, you will need to adjust the Door Safety Magnets. Please see this page for instructions on how to adjust the magnet.

Water Level Sensor

The Water Level Sensor input check will test the feature that monitors the water level in the tank. The right-side Middle Float Switch controls the low pressure pumps and drain valve to allow water to exit the tank and maintain proper water level. The switch will be located near two other float switches, it is the one in the center that is slightly more toward the front of the tank.

During this test you will be prompted to “Push Right Side Float Switch Down”. Manually press the middle float switch down and you will receive a “Pull Right Side Float Switch Up” message. Manually pull the middle float switch up or let the water push it up, you will receive a “Water Level Sensor Detected” message.

NOTICE: Please make sure you do not trigger the other two switches located in this area. The other switches are the Lo-Kill and Hi-Kill switches, triggering either of these will cut power to the main unit.

Service Sensor

The Service Sensor input check will test the function of the left-side float switch. This switch will ‘soft-kill’ the machine when the water level is too high in the tank.

During the test you will receive a message on the UI screen to “Pull the Left Side Float Switch Up”. Reach into the tank and manually pull the left-side float switch up to trigger the switch, you will receive a “Service Sensor Detected” message.

If you do not see the “Service Sensor Detected” message then you float switch is not functioning properly. Please reach out to Support.

SD Card

The SD Card input check will test to make sure the controller can read when an SD card is inserted into the rail. The SD Card slot is located on the side of the rail right next to the UI. An SD card is used to transfer .gcode files from a computer to the WAZER.

During this test, if there is an SD card inserted the UI will display a “Remove SD Card from the Rail” message. Remove the SD card and you will be prompted to “Insert SD Card into the Rail”. After you re-insert the card the UI will display “SD Card Detected”. If there is not an SD card inserted when you select this input check. the first message will not appear and the process begins at “Insert SD Card into the Rail”.

Limit Switches

The Limit Switches input check will test to make sure the limit switches are triggered when the gantry has reached the extents of its travel. The limit switches send a signal to the controller when they are triggered, telling the controller that the gantry has traveled as far as possible.

During this test, the gantry will move to the back left of the machine to trigger the left-side X-axis limit switch and the rear Y-axis limit switch. Then the gantry will move in a 45 degree motion downward and to the right until it hits the front Y-axis limit switch, then continue moving right until it hits the right side X-axis limit switch.

If at any point during the Limit Switches input check the gantry moves in an unexpected manner or direction, or does not trigger the limit switches, please contact support.
